At the ripe age of 14 years old, Leo was on the streets of San Diego forced to learn the ways of survival…..

In Barrio Logan, sleeping in Chicano Park and surrounding areas of South San Diego, Leo kept his word to himself that he would make-up his lost freshman and sophomore years of Hight School to enter his Junior year successfully and graduate on-time. He did just that with honors and became the first in his family to graduate from HS as well as the first to graduate with a Bachelors Degree from UC Santa Bárbara.

Leo is a firm believer of growing from survive to thrive. Leo has taken his life experiences and conjoined them with his artistry to become one of Los Angeles ‘ Master Teaching Artists and Leadership Coach. He has had the honor of working with the the majority and largest Arts Education organizations across Los Ángeles county to include his latest role of Program Manager for ‘The Unusual Suspects Theatre Company’. He also did a 3 year residency at P.S. Arts for the Camino Nuevo Charter Academy (CNCA) after starting his career with E.C.T. (East LA Classic Theatre)
